Unlike other "mild" Hybrids that run on both the petrol engine and electric motors at all times. Toyotas Hybrid Synergy Drive consists of a petrol engine and electric motor working together as one in perfect

harmony - yet the engine and motor always intuitively know when to work alone, when to rest, and when to work together. Utilising 2 electric motors, the first motor acts primarily as a generator to convert surplus petrol energy power to the battery and uses a second motor as the drive motor & generator during regenerative braking thereby enabling the driver to operate the vehicle in EV mode (electric motor only), ECO mode (most efficient combination), & Power mode (Improved/Sportier response).

The Hybrid Camry however, is not just about achieving significantly reduced fuel economy and emissions it also utilises the most advanced active safety technology ever offered in an Australian built vehicle and much, much more.
